A/C Evaporators The Evaporator is a system component that removes heat from air entering the passenger compartment. The refrigerant enters as a low pressure liquid, and leaves as a high pressure vapor. It is usually located in or near the dash or the firewall.
Common evaporator problems are leaks, and blockage.
It is always recommended that the evaporator be flushed during installation of a new compressor, to prevent any contamination of the new auto air conditioning parts.
